What Trip Atlas does
Trip Atlas is designed to help users turn holiday photos into cinematic map-based travel films. The app may use selected photos, photo metadata, places and user-created trip details to build a travel story.
Users control which photos they select. If a photo contains metadata such as date, time or location, the app may use that metadata to help place the photo in the correct part of the journey.
Account and profile data
Trip Atlas requires a profile. The app may store your name, email address, username, avatar, authentication identifiers and related account settings needed to operate your account.
Trip data
Trip Atlas may store trip names, dates, selected places, route information, hotel or stay details, project settings and other content you create inside the app.
Photos and metadata
If you select photos, Trip Atlas may process those photos and related metadata such as date, time and location. Some photo processing can happen locally; saved, synced, shared or exported trip features may transmit selected photos, derived outputs or metadata so the feature can work.
Authentication and storage
Trip Atlas uses Supabase authentication. The app may store account, profile and trip data needed to provide the service, sync trips across devices, restore a profile and support selected sharing or export features. Some photo processing may happen locally in the browser or app before any user-created trip data is saved.
Third-party services
Trip Atlas may use third-party services to provide hosting, authentication, maps, places search and app functionality.
Retention
Trip Atlas keeps account and trip data for as long as needed to provide the app, maintain the user account, support cloud sync and meet security, abuse-prevention or legal obligations. If an account or data deletion request is verified, Trip Atlas will delete or anonymize applicable data unless retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance or backup recovery.
Security
Trip Atlas uses HTTPS and service-provider security controls for data transmitted between the app, hosting, authentication, map and place services. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but ByteNudge Studio aims to limit access to data to what is needed to operate, maintain and support the app.
Children
Trip Atlas is not directed to children. Users should not create an account or submit personal data if they are not old enough to use online account-based services in their country without parent or guardian permission.
Data deletion and account deletion
Users can request deletion of their account, profile and Trip Atlas data by emailing support from the email address connected to their account. Use the subject line “Trip Atlas data deletion” and send the request to support@tradeaudit.org.
See the data deletion page for request instructions, data categories and expected response time.
